Castlegate is proud to support both local and national charities, and believe in promoting good causes and supporting the children to learn about the benefit of helping others.

We recognise that 2020 was a very difficult year for many, including all the amazing charities that we like to support. We normally raise donations during fun annual events like our Sports Day and at our Nativity Play, but these events couldn’t happen in 2020 for obvious reasons. However, we decided to donate regardless, and at the end of 2020 we supported Children’s Hospices Across Scotland, the Special Care Baby Unit at the BGH, and Borders Children’s Charity. At the start of 2021 we have also made donations to The Borders Forest Trust and The Learning Space in Gavinton, Duns.
